Little Ferry Woman Honored for Service to Women Business Owners

Eleanor Galt-Lin, Financial Advisor and Retirement Planner for Smith Barney, Paramus, was Honored with the “Notable Newcomer” Award by the Bergen Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO).   This newly created award was developed specifically to recognize Ms. Galt-Lin’s extraordinary efforts to improve and enhance the organization devoted to helping women business owners.  Unlike typical new members who “wait and see” their first year, Ms. Galt-Lin immediately joined the Membership committee and began reaching out to other business owners inviting them to take advantage of the benefits of the organization.  The organization is designed to provide networking opportunities for women, and learning opportunities on how to manage and grow a business.

Ms. Galt-Lin, a Little Falls residents, joined the organization for numerous reasons including; getting to know the issues that small business owners face, being able to network in hopes of getting to know people that can be of assistance to my current clients, supporting women owned businesses, and providing financial advice to women business owner.

Ms. Galt-Lin was recently elected as the Vice President of Membership for the 2007-2008 term.  Her enthusiasm continues as she is organizing the first Member Showcase event.  This luncheon will be free to all new NJAWBO members in 2007 and provide all participants the chance to showcase their business or service through an exhibit and presentation.  For more information about the New Member Showcase luncheon to be held on December 5 at the Holiday Inn in Hasbrouck Heights, visit the NJAWBO
