Fair Lawn Woman Honored for Service to Women Business Owners

Caryn Starr-Gates, President and Owner of Get It Together, a gift basket business in Fair Lawn, NJ, was honored with the “Beacon of Light” Award from the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners.  Recipients of this award have demonstrated true volunteerism in their service to the organization and have served as models of spirit.  Ms. Starr-Gates was described by Nancy Passow, Nominations Chair, as “a true inspiration to everyone around her.”  Ms. Passow explained that Ms. Starr-Gates was a glowing example of the NJAWBO organization in her willingness to help other business owners with advice, referrals and support. 

Ms. Starr-Gates is a long-time member of the organization, having served as president and past-president of the Bergen Chapter, on the Membership Committee and the State Board.
